Meet the people already around you

Your next friend is five minutes away.

Orbit connects you with real people in your neighbourhood who share your interests. No endless feeds, no strangers on the other side of the world.

Approximate distance only. You are never on a map.

Four steps to a real hello

Step 1

Share your area

Turn on location once. Orbit only ever shows an approximate distance, never a pin on a map.

Step 2

See who is around

Browse neighbours sorted by how close they are, with shared interests highlighted.

Step 3

Send a connect

Requests go both ways. Nobody can message you until you accept.

Step 4

Make a plan

Chat, swap recommendations, and turn a nearby stranger into a regular coffee.

Privacy by default

Close enough to meet, private enough to relax

Meeting neighbours should never mean broadcasting where you live. Orbit is built so the only thing anyone sees is roughly how far away you are.

Never your exact spot

Distances are rounded and coordinates stay on the server. No live tracking, ever.

Invisible on demand

One switch hides you from discovery while keeping your existing connections.

Consent first

Messaging unlocks only after both people say yes to connecting.

Questions, answered

How close is nearby?

You choose the radius, from a few streets up to your whole city. Orbit shows the closest people first.

Can people see when I am home?

No. Orbit stores your location privately and shows only a rounded distance. There is no live tracking or public map pin.

Do I have to share my location?

Only to use nearby discovery. You can hide yourself or delete your saved location whenever you choose.

Is Orbit a dating app?

Orbit is for every kind of nearby connection: friendship, running partners, study groups, coffee, volunteering and more.
